This Cyber Saathi program to intended to increase awareness amongst top level management and employees in corporates of the cyber risks, threats and vulnerabilities. Instances of data theft cases including those of data removal or retention without intent to cause harm or loss appear to be committed due to ignorance. There are also substantially larger issues that corporates have to deal with in a digitally wired world. For instance, even an online game such as Pokémon Go created a flutter amongst corporates as the game was perceived as a threat to Intellectual Property rights of corporates apart from the perceived security risks and resulted in many companies banning the game within their premises.
This module is customized to corporates based on their unique requirements pertinent to the digital domain. All modules address not just online threats but those on digital mediums. The awareness program will help corporates understand concepts of digital assets and the need for their protection; laws and processes that they may consider to enable such protection. The module is NOT intended to be a legal audit or review of existing processes of a company, which are only undertaken as professional services. It is intended solely for the purpose of creating awareness amongst individuals comprising the Company to help them become peer mentors and to also enable better digital literacy in a corporate set up. This will enhance protection of the rights of corporates as well as that of the employees as a preliminary step before seeking the help of legal professionals or law enforcement prosecutions and ensure that evidence is duly protected and retained in such manner as to help further legal action.
Cyber Saathi will be undertaking programs under this initiative through its internal resources and also with collaborations and partnerships with other Civil Society Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations; Governmental organizations / Initiatives, individuals / corporates / educational entities / law enforcement agencies / Industry Chambers of Commerce.
