“Be A Cyber Saathi™ - Digital Safety & Awareness Program for Judiciary” - 2020.

This Cyber Saathi awareness program is customized to sensitize and orient judiciary on existing and emerging cybercrime threats, vulnerabilities and trends in India and with illustrations from across the World. It is imperative for any law to demonstrate its effectiveness in practical terms. Once prevention and protection fail, it is important to demonstrate that systems will be successful in handling cases pertaining to cybercrimes. Speed, expediency and accuracy in judgments are all imperative for judiciary to handle cases pertaining to the digital domain.  The modules will include gender and child sensitivity in handling offences against women (and other genders) and children. The program will address primarily issues pertaining to applicable laws, appreciation of evidence and sensitivity towards victims and their issues and concerns.

The Founder of Cyber Saathi, Ms. Nappinai brings with her nearly two decades of experience in training judiciary in cybercrimes and electronic evidence.

Modules will be customized based on the requirements of the audience. The modules for judiciary will not only touch upon cybercrime aspects but also extend to handling of electronic evidence in all forms of cases from Criminal, civil, taxation and other enforcement processes. The modules may be customized to include emerging technologies including personal data protection, non – personal data protection, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, social media platforms and Intermediary liability and further topics and analyze how existing law may be interpreted and applied. 

These customized modules will be conducted both offline and online based on the requirements of judicial academies.

Cyber Saathi will be undertaking programs under this initiative through its internal resources and also with collaborations and partnerships with other Civil Society Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations; Governmental organizations / Initiatives, individuals / corporates / educational entities / law enforcement agencies / Police Academies / Judicial Academies.
